What Black Women Want You to Know
This 90-minute session, led by Birmingham Poet Laureate Salaam Green, offers a space for honesty, listening, and healing around race and gender for both individuals and groups. It’s open to anyone—of any background—who wants to better understand the pain of racial injustice and how to be part of real change. Through poetry, silence, and conversation, we’ll explore the stories we carry, the ones we inherited, and the ones we’re ready to let go.
This workshop is for you if:
If you are suffering from the violence of racial injustice
If you are a person of any race or gender who feels the call to combat racial injustice
If you are seeking balance/ peace/ silence to hear your inner wisdom about race and gender
If you are curious about how YOU can help change the world
